A GIA-certified, lab-grown diamond seller needed better search, vendor tools and store-visit booking. We rebuilt the platform with advanced search, detailed diamond views, a vendor portal, appointment scheduling with reminders, and an admin back end.
"My Diamond Broker" stands as a hallmark of trust and affordability in the diamond industry. Their promise? Offering the most competitive diamond prices, guaranteed. Every gem sold is GIA certified, ensuring buyers receive an unbiased quality assessment. Distinctively, they champion sustainability by exclusively dealing in lab-grown diamonds, guaranteeing ethical sourcing and unmatched purity. Additionally, they feature third-party diamonds, expanding their range and offering diverse choices to buyers. This commitment extends to their customer-centric approach, where they offer personalized one-on-one consultations, ensuring buyers make informed decisions in a no-pressure environment. Their "Lowest Price Guarantee" challenges the industry norm, vowing to beat any price if a diamond is found cheaper elsewhere.
The client's initial platform had a basic search function, lacking advanced filters, causing user confusion. There was no visual distinction between "mined" and "lab-grown" diamonds. Vendors struggled with manual inventory updates, leading to inaccuracies. The system lacked an efficient scheduling feature, forcing customers to rely on calls or emails for appointments. With a rigid backend, customization was limited and scalability became an issue as business grew. The design was inconsistent, affecting user experience and security vulnerabilities raised concerns. The client needed a holistic solution to revamp their online diamond retail platform.
Upon landing on the website, customers are presented with a straightforward search form. An "additional filters" button reveals advanced search criteria, catering to more discerning customers. A unique feature allows customers to filter diamonds based on their origin, Shape, Cart, Cut, Color, Clarity, Report, L:W Ratio, Fluor, Polish, Symmetry, Table% and Depth%. Search results dynamically adjust based on the selected criteria. Customizable price columns allow for flexibility in displaying various price points based on a percentage of the wholesale price.
A "details" button for each diamond leads to a comprehensive page showcasing photos, certifications and other relevant information. A prominent "Schedule Appointment" button facilitates the booking process for in-person viewings. Easy navigation ensures customers can swiftly return to the search or home page.
Vendors are provided with a secure login portal. They can effortlessly upload their inventory using CSV or XLSX file formats. The system is designed to overwrite previous uploads, ensuring the most up-to-date inventory is displayed. Integration with vendor APIs is available, offering an alternative method for inventory updates.
The scheduling page is designed for simplicity, requesting only essential details: name, email and phone number. A calendar displays available slots for in-person viewings. Automated reminders are sent to both the customer and store contact 24 hours and 2 hours before the appointment. The reminder intervals are adjustable by the admin.
A comprehensive admin portal allows for complete oversight of the platform. Admins can view a list of all vendors, enable or disable them and manage their access. Can set Markup percentages vendor wise & can add competitor prices so users can compare prices with other competitors. The scheduling reminders' timing and frequency can be adjusted. The admin can set available dates and times in the scheduling calendar.
